El Pueblo Housing Development 

Providing stable, healthy, affordable housing and supportive services for Tucson residents.  


Our Purpose

  • Build and rehabilitate housing to provide affordable units to persons making up to 120% of the Area Median Income with the priority on housing for low-income residents.

  • Provide supportive services to assist residents in achieving housing stability.

  • Provide technical assistance and training to potential housing developers.

  • Hold events to inform, support and educate the community on all housing topics.

Funding

The primary source of development funding is the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), a federal tax credit administered by state agencies. Other funding sources include but are not limited to the HOME Investment Partnerships Program, State Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, Federal Home Loan Banks (FHLBs) and Housing Trust Funds.

El Pueblo Housing Development and the City of Tucson have 9 projects in planning & development.

Over 1200 units of affordable housing are in planning or under construction.
